Within the organization of DEMCON, an increasing amount of the production of various systems are getting automated. In order to maintain this development, the automation of an injection molding machine is considered as necessary.
The assignment of this internships includes the automation of injection molding machines with pick-and-place functions. For this graduation assignment, the electronics engineering department is in search of students with a hands-on mentality who are able to think and operate outside of their study domain.
You will be working in a team in which various disciplines and competences are combined in order to develop an automated injection molding machine. Your responsibilities within this team are lying within the scope of developing the electrical design and safety features.
Your tasks during the assignment can be defined as:
- Inventory and analyze the needed features
- Designing; drawing electronic schedules and potentially building additional electro cases
- Programming of pick-and-place
- Integrating and verification of the system
Before starting your internship, it is usual to define a clear, framed and achievable assignment with everyone who is involved.
You will be a part of the electronics engineering department. During your internship, you will be supervised by an assigned electronics engineering colleague who is able to help and support you.
*For this internship, it is required to be in possession of a drivers licence.
